In today’s world the unsocial has become social and unconventional is today’s norm.  We are in the age of technology and internet is king.  More couples are meeting via social media websites verses the traditional meetings at school, malls and social gatherings.   

Here are some tips on internet dating.  First and foremost be careful, because you never know who’s on the other side of the screen.  Please don’t give away personal information like your home address and where you go to school.  There are too many sick people out there and these individuals prey on younger ignorant people. 

After corresponding to a point where both parties are comfortable get verified information like a photo id, this is especially important when young girls meet males.  Also Google their name and verify if this person is really who they say they are.   Please do not take the persons word for it.  If you are hell bent on meeting this person bring a friend who is over 18 and please meet in a public safe place.  Look out for suspicious vehicles.  Tell a parent or guardian where you are going and whom you are going to be with and for how long.  Keep safe and be alert.
